Answering THAT question
Constant question keeps popping up…
“What niche should I outreach to?”
By now in my career, after having signed clients in various niches, I know that there are some which are better than others.
And some are just completely off limits.
But from person to person, I’d say the top 3-5 niches changes. Meaning my best niche may not be your best niche, and vice versa.
Personally, I like sticking to Biz-op. Reason being, I have good general business knowledge and business is kinda just my hobby. I understand the people in that market more so than the average copywriter.
Same thing with fitness.
Except that tracking down a worthwhile client is more unlikely than an illegal immigrant getting deported from the UK.
Trust me, there are good fitness clients out there - they just:
Don’t want to hire some noob
Or
You don’t know how to find them or what they actually look like
Talking on B…
This is your advantage when it comes to finding the right niche.
Be honest, what’s something in your life that you struggle with besides copywriting?
(and growing big strong muscles)
Is something wrong in your dating life?
Perhaps you made a crappy investment?
Start thinking, make a mental note of what comes to mind.
Now I want you to think of everything you have achieved that has resulted in some gain, financial or otherwise…
Did you study psychological tricks to make your mind work harder?
Have you ever picked up chicks with flawless confidence?
Again, make a mental note.
Read those last 10 lines or so again if you opted out of doing that exercise; it’s necessary for what I’m about to tell you.
The truth is, you already know your best niche.
Or at least the top 3.
Use your past experiences as stepping stones, whether they were pains and problems or wins and gains.
You will understand those markets, and more importantly, the buyers in those markets, because you have lived in their shoes.
Okay, but what if you have nothing going for you?
Don’t worry, I was the same.
The only things I had ever done in life before pursuing copywriting full time were Amazon FBA (making £1,200 in revenue), failing at dropshipping when it first came around, music production (I was sick at this honestly), cared for many pets (normal and exotic), and some other random stuff.
But wait, I did have things to channel towards a niche…
Only when I thought about it. And you are lying to yourself if you have nothing going for you.
Think harder.
Next time,
