I have no idea what this email will be about
Edit: I came up with it about 7 lines in
Genuinely…
No idea.
Feel like it’s been a while since I’ve sent one of these out, and with nothing to sell it turns into a pure value fest.
Note to the wise: If all you do is give out free value, for example, if I wrote these daily, no one would buy from you.
I know, the inverse of what you expect. But it’s actually true. You need a good balance of free value vs paid value, otherwise free shit is enough.
(Not only have I experienced that first hand working with clients in the fitness space, but I’ve read tons of free + paid material from Top G Ben Settle dancing around this topic - not gonna take his words out of context so I urge you to look this up in your own time)
Anyway, that’s not what I want to write this email about.
= idea kicks in here =
I see a lot of people complaining that they struggle with outreach in 2 specific ways:
Can’t stick to a niche
Can’t find anyone in that niche worth reaching out to once they do have one
First off, reach the fuck out to anyone and everyone, it’s not gonna harm you. (unless you send over 50+ Instagram DM’s/day, that’s the range where IG will start flagging you as spam and you end up in “Hidden Requests” instead of just “Requests”)
Anyhow, here’s the sentence I thought of when I had no idea what I was writing about:
“If you can’t find any leads, you’re never going to find even 1 if you stop searching.”
Outreach is outreach. Somedays you find 2 leads, some 67 (like for me 2 days ago).
Point is, if you “take a break”, slow down, quit, or do anything else other than force yourself through the slog of lead gen, you will never find a lead.
So just stop complaining that you can’t find anyone, and stick it out until you do. 1 is better than 0.
Let me ask…
If you went to the gym and it was busy, you couldn’t hit whatever you wanted to…
Would you go home?
Nah.

P.S. If you struggle with this in the writing department, don’t fret. Pol recently made a banger of a video (about 15 minutes long so you can watch it while you eat) covering the best ways to turn ANYTHING into an email - an instant cure for “writers block” - based on a community post I made a while back. Check it out or forever dwell in the despair of staring at that blinking cursor for hours on end (to no avail). Link is below:
