It's true...
Everyone's talking about it
Happy Wednesday Gs
Before you say it
…I know.
That subject line looks like something Iman Gadzhi would’ve spat out to get you to buy his SMMA course.
But I feel like today’s topic deserves some dramatism,
Since what it entails could affect the entire human race forever and leave our species as useless as the pope’s testicles.
Word has spread that AI is getting better and better every day, which not only affects people in the ‘smart’ sector anymore…
…but the creative sector,
…a.k.a. us copywriters.
Uh oh.
And I know, we’ve been warned about this since 2023, and this kind of news must leave you unshaken at this point.
But…
what if I told you…
… that this entire email was written by Chat —
(I’m kidding guys I’d never do that to you.)
I’d feel disgusted even to succumb to such a low thing.
What I’m here to tell you, is that:
Even if AI improves drastically, its copy will ALWAYS feel robotic
…because well, it has been written by a f*cking robot.
There are patterns and repetitions that the human brain can detect on these things, trust me
(I studied a bunch of computer engineering)
And the thing is…
Copywriting relies heavily on human nature.
We want to feel like a human is behind the screen.
You wanna know what’s gonna happen if all copy sounds AI-generated all of a sudden?
People are gonna crave that human feel even MORE.
Those small grammatical mistakes…
That irreplaceable storytelling…
Presley’s British jokes (I don’t think an AI can replace that)
Kinda like how after the “MrBeast-Ultra-Edited-Ultra-Saturated-Brainrot” storm of videos shook YouTube for a few years…
….people craved raw, unedited content with simple thumbnails and short titles.
You get where I’m going here?
Humanity and psychology, two intrinsic features of man, have always been the root of copywriting, despite all the years that have passed.
(Copywriting dates back to 1477)
So no…
Copywriting is not going to disappear,
And a machine ain’t gonna replace us.
And for God’s sake,
Don’t use AI as another excuse.
Trust guys:
Your brain can compute a never-ending maze of excuses in a second.
And once you fall into a victim mindset…
There’s no going back.
Happy writing,
And speak soon,
Pol
PS: Let’s fight the AI revolution together by sharpening our tools so good we can cut trees with them – My latest video discussing “Outreach 2.0” is a great start (is AI even capable of making a loom video, huh?)
Second PS: Round 2 of tool-sharpening: Lock and load for the Free Course dropping on our Discord Community on March 15th, it’s gonna leave these AI-bots asking for some backup RAM and an oil change for sure…
